Hi!
Obviously I have a question to ask..

I'm currently a high scool junior.
and I'm planning to volunteer at a local museum this summer..
and as a part of the application process, I was asked to submit a resume.

What is a resume? and How do I write it?
I know it's a paper that you list your past experiences and stuff..
but I don't really know exactly what things to write in that paper..

Will my High school GPA, classes I took, and my past volunteering experience at local library would be enough?

I know it's rather a simple question..
but please understand that it's my first time that I ever was asked to do this.

Anyway
Thanks for your answers!!

Your resume should include:
Name,address,email,phone number
Objective
qualifications
experience or volunteer experience if you dont have any work experience
hobbies,interest
ec,listed by when you did them, how many hours spent
achievements
reference

google "resume" for the format

go to google, type in "write resume", pick from the responses

Write a "brag sheet". It's a kind of resume in which you talk about your ec activities, your volunteering experiences, your work experiences, your academic awards and honors, your personal/extracurricular awards and honors and finally your hobbies and interests. I wrote a brag sheet, and for each activity I participated in and for each rather notable award I won, I wrote a sentence description. I think colleges really like this type of resume writing style as it allows you, the applicant, to come off as something more than just a list of statistics.

You have to be careful however, as some colleges like Stanford will not take resumes.
