Help! Huntsman

I want to apply to Huntsman at Penn but it requires

"advanced placement credit in mathematics -- the equivalent of one semester of college calculus upon matriculation"

But in my school only seniors take AP Calculus! so im only in precalc honors
am i screwed, or is there another option?!!

a junior applying for penn huntsman? wow. you must be exceptionally qualified. I think it's best if you give penn a personal call and ask the question via phone, however, my guess would be that penn admission wouldn't specifically penalize you since you were restricted by all means to take the calculus course. But ask. its the best way to find out.

no i'm applying senior year...but won't I not have the AP credit until the end of senior yr...and ED admissions are in November?

in that case, I'm sure penn will understand. doesn't the phrase "the equivalent of one semester of college calculus upon matriculation" mean that you have to have the calculus credit before you enroll, or the end of your senior year? and I guess one thing you can do is make the councellor attach a sidenote informing how calc is offered to only seniors. but the fact that you're taking precalc right now tells me that you wouldn't be eligible to take calculus even if was offered to juniors.

You're fine. It means you need to have it basically by the time you get there. So...just don't fail the AP and you're good to go.
