I forgot to write my test book serial number on my answer sheet. Will they not grade my answer sheet?

they will probably still grade it. You should probably tell your counselor or whoever's in charge of that stuff like... ASAP to make sure

The proctors at my school interupted us in the middle of the MC to have us all fill it in for the US. Apparently, it's not stated in the proctor rules, and they sometimes forget to tell us.

that sooooks maaan

try to get in contact with your guidance counselor. If not, just hope your score is still valid

Anyone else got any other ideas? Do the counselors send the answer sheets as soon as the test is over?

How is the serial number even important? As long as you filled out the Statistics bubble on the front. Everyone's serial number is different isn't it? But everyone's stat book is the same.

That's not possible. The instructions for filling in the MC book serial number is directly printed in the "Instructions Book" that all AP proctors receive, and should have been read verbally to you before every exam. A lot of proctors just ignore reading everything in that book (or pick out the parts that they think is relevant), but that book does, in fact, provide an extensive list of verbal instructions that should have been given to you at the beginning of each examination.

You can still contact your counselor if he hasn't sent out the answer sheets yet. The chances are that he probably haven't, as most schools send out ALL the answer sheets in one big mailing at the end of AP season. As for your scores, don't worry -- the serial number is used to keep track of MC booklets (they don't want people stealing MC booklets - which are supposed to be kept secret). The only consequence is that your score will probably be delayed for Stats (you might have to wait 1-2 extra weeks).

On my first AP test this year our proctor like skipped a paragraph or something right at the serial number part, so a lot of us were confused about what to do. Like an idiot, I asked the kids around me instead of the proctor, and so I ended up writing only 10 digits instead of 11 on the serial number. I don't know if I wrote the wrong number or if I just forgot the last number, but either way I've been freaking out. I emailed College board in case, but it's really really REALLY relieving to hear that my exam will (knock on wood) still be graded.

go tell your ap coordinator now.....they havent shipped the stuff back yet. but they are going to soon, so go in tomorrow morning and ask.
