Hi! This is my first post and I'm afraid that it is a horrible one! I just sent in my essays, but I was so tired that I think I may have sent a rough draft to one school. Can I do anything? I am just PRAYING that I sent in the correct one, but I have a sinking feeling that I did, in fact, send the wrong one. If you have any advice, please, please tell me! :'(

Did you do the common app? Go back in to the website and click on the date in the application box next to the name of the school you're worried about. The app you sent will pop up. You can scroll to the end and see the essay that went out. Crossing my fingers for you...

If you did send the wrong one, don't stress. Just mail them a copy of the correct one, with a note saying that you accidentally sent them a draft and would they please put the final version in your file.

Thanks to both of you! I just remembered that I made a tiny change in my essay right before I printed it (cafe to caf

That is so subtle, I wouldn't worry about it for one more second. You will only draw attention to something that isn't truly a problem. By sending a second copy you'd probably create a "where's Waldo" scene and there isn't even really a Waldo.

You'll do fine.

Riverrunner, I probably wasn't clear. My draft did not just have the "cafe" difference. It was very different. However, before my last print out, I changed one more thing (the "cafe"). If I sent them the draft, the cafe part would be fixed, but it would still be the very different draft.
