HELP I want to resubmit my UPenn supp

So basically my mom told me to send in my apps early (two days ago) and I did...but for UPenn I realized after a conversation with my friend about why I would want to go there....like I should have used those details in my supp....
For the supp I gave them, it's very broad and focused solely on the aspect of my major...which I feel like isn't what I want to show them 'cause that'd be pretty boring- a girl who only wants psychology...but what I really want to show is my passion for activeness in volunteering as well.
I emailed them about resubmitting a supp, because I did actually send it in early and noticed it before the deadline. Do you think they would allow me to resubmit or would they be anal about it? I'm so afraid D: GUH I thought I wasn't going to make mistakes, BUT UGHHHHH. I'm the first one up in my family to do this...sigh so scary D:

Ouch. Please take this with a grain of salt.

Have you scheduled an interview with UPenn? Interviews are a great way to “show yourself off” (I use that term very loosely - no regurgitation of accomplishments listed on your app D:<) and talk about what isn’t on your application.
Little things will slip in (or not be slipped in). You have full control over your app, but in this case, I wouldn’t worry too much about it. Ask for an interview if it’s possible.

I wish you the best. :-)

Thanks so much. I definitely will try for an interview, but I heard those are random in selection? I just hope UPenn doesn’t get annoyed that I actually emailed them and want to fix things. I mean I want them to avoid reading a horrible supplement :frowning: Did anyone ever tried to do a resubmission of anything? According to a book I read, most colleges don’t even notice if you sent in things late within 1-2 weeks of the deadline. But since I already sent something and want to revise, it’s a different scenario. :(

I’m sorry, but after you’ve sent them in through Commonapp, I don’t think you can resubmit.
I would definitely try to set up an interview, but I personally would email them asking them to resubmit their own supplement. Instead, maybe you can email them and ask them if they’d be willing to read another paragraph along with their entire application about why you want to go there? I don’t know if they’d be willing to look at it since it’s such a prestigious school with so many applications to go through already…but it’s worth a shot!

Good luck!
