I am currently taking APWH this year. I am an honors/AP student with a 4.0 and I always work hard and study. Yet I still find myself struggling a lot in history. I exceed in all my other classes, specifically math and science, but for some reason I find history extremely difficult. I will study for tests and average a C on them, while most of my classmates find tests easy and earn A or B’s. I honestly do not know why I struggle so much with this subject and cannot understand it. I have my AP test in about a week I really need tips or advice for studying. Anyone else have this problem?
The AP WH is not that hard at all! Don´t worry about it. As long as you have general knowledge of the things going on, you wont be asked specific details or facts.
@Viaza915 I really wish it were that easy. But I honestly will study all night and feel like I understand the material, but the next day I take the test and perform poorly. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.
I agree with the other commenter- the WHAP exam is sooooo easy. It focuses on big trends and most of the questions required very little outside knowledge - you could infer a lot from the given documents. However, since you have a hard time in history I would do a lot of previous multiple choice and DBQ’s, essays, etc. AP posts them all online. Not to worry- I completely made up everything on one of my essays (didn’t have a clue what I was writing!) and still got a 5. However, I’m a very humanities-oriented person (arts, literature, history, social sciences) and not the best at math/math-based sciences. It’s funny how there seems to be such a divide between people who are good at math/science vs. humanities…
