Hi, I'm a junior in high school.

On the May SAT, I got 680 CR, 680 Math, 640 Writing. Super scored (With MArch SAT) I have CR 680 700 Math 680 Writing (2060 or 1380)

On the April ACT, I got a 31 Eng, Reading, Science and a 35 on Math for 32 Composite.

I was really disappointed by my SAT score. While I was happy with CR, I was shocked that my Math and Writing went down, especially after getting a 35 on the ACT math.

My top 3 schools that I want to go to are RPI, Cornell, and Carnegie Mellon. I want to have a 1500 CR/Math by the time i apply.

My question is: Should I retake the ACT or SAT? I know that on the ACT, I have a great shot at a 34- It seems that the ACT clicks better for me than the SAT does. I was very confused by my 680 on the Math SAT. I won the RPI Medal for my school and won the AMC 12 for my school yet I got a 680 and 700 on the math for May and March. I really don't know why those scores don't correlate, which makes me think that perhaps the SAT is just not for me. I may not be able to score 2200+ on the SAT, but on the ACT, I'm confident I can get at least a 33 on the next one.
2. Cornell requires all scores, so if i score a 34 on the September ACT, will it weaken my application if I don't retake the SAT in October and they see a 1380 SAT? 34 converts to 1510
