Help in regards to transferring to a busines school..

<p>I understand this is probably a dumb question, but anyways here it is..</p>

<p>I have a 3.7 GPA at my current community college and was interested in going to business school. I will have my AAS in a few months, but I have not taken any business classes other than a business math class.</p>

<p>If I am transferring after 2.5 years at a CC and have the GPA & test scores to get into the school is that enough? Or would I have to take some business classes at my CC before ever being accepted? If I transfer in would I have to start all over or just have to jump right into the business classes since I most definitely have all the general ed out of the way (if they accept them all).</p>

<p>most majors require that you take certain classes related to your major before you transfer in. for example, accounting and econ is usually required for most business majors. doesn’t it say at the website?</p>

<p>My browser keeps crashing when I try to open either (they come in pdf) so I can’t be certain they have the information you need, but it’s usually a good start. Otherwise, call and speak to a transfer admissions counselor to find out where you can track down the resources to make sure you take all the required/recommended coursework. </p>

<p>For my major (Psych) the school I’m hoping to hear from for transfer had detailed information regarding the core curriculum they recommend taking at a CC level, as well as directions about not taking too many courses related to my major until I transfer. Each school/department is different about what they expect you to take in-residence, so utilize the online resources whenever possible and don’t be afraid to contact department heads if the admissions counselors don’t give you what you need.</p>
