Help Interview on Monday!!!!

Hey, on Monday I am getting my interview fro Lehigh, and I want to know how I should approach this. Should I wear a suit? Should I be talking most of the time? Please help...

Relax…dress comfortably and [‘business casual’](<a href=“http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_casual]'business”>Business casual - Wikipedia).

Here are some interview tips: [The College Interview](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Tips to Answer College Interview Questions - BigFuture).

My best advice is to read as many of the [Alumni Bulletin](Bulletin | Summer 2021 | Lehigh University)s as you can; especially [‘The Lucky 13s’](<a href=“http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/lehigh/alumni_2009fall/#/24]'The”>http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/lehigh/alumni_2009fall/#/24) article.

Lehigh is big on traditions; especially around [‘The Game’](<a href=“http://www4.lehigh.edu/about/luevents/events/lehighlafayette]'The”>Lehigh Lafayette | Lehigh University). An interview is a good opportunity to learn more about these traditions and the general ethos of the institution.

If your interviewer is an alumnus/alumna (several of the admission counselors are), more than likely he/she had their choice of several schools. Ask them how they went through the process of deciding on Lehigh.

If at the end of the interview you honestly feel certain that Lehigh is your #1 choice…simply state it…for example: “I can really see myself here at Lehigh. It’s my first choice for X,Y and Z reasons and I hope I’ll be here in the fall.”

Finally, don’t forget to thank the interviewer.

Lehigh loves to ask questions about what diversity and equality mean to you, so think about that (I’m not sure if they still do it though!) Also make sure you have several good questions about Lehigh. If there’s something you like about the school that you want to know more about, go with that. Or if you ask questions about the alumnus’ time at lehigh that works too. If I can think of something else I’ll post again

Oh, this should be obvious but firm handshake and good eye contact go a long way. Fidgeting and looking all over the room makes it seem like you’re lying about things.

Regarding the traditions [referred to above](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/13444725-post2.html), see the recent [post by trinitian](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/13479322-post460.html):
