I’ve been prepping all summer for the SAT (the old one- not the 2017 version) and I feel that I have reached a score plateau. My score will not budge from a 2100 after 2 BB practice test, but I would really like a 2250. The hardest section for me is math. I’m consistently scoring a 640-700. CR and W is pretty simple for me, but math is the bane of my score. I understand the basic concepts of math, but the last 3 questions on every section are always very difficult- if not impossible- for me to do. Can anyone recommend study tips or books? It would really help if you could tell me from personal experience. Thanks!
Actually, math is probably one of the easier sections to improve (for most people). A lot of it is pure practice, getting to know each type of question there is and how to approach. At my tutoring class, my tutor gives me “SAT 2400” by Kaplan. This book has all of the hard questions ONLY in every section, including math, CR, and writing. So far, I’ve been able to practice just the most difficult ones and learn new ways to approach them. Let me know if you have any further questions
