<p>I play CS:S, TF2, Starcraft, WC3 (dota and melee) and I sometimes play WoW, but I haven't gotten really into it yet. Personally my favorite games are RTS's</p>
<p>i don' know man, if my parents let me buy both desktop and laptop, then we could play CS:S and TF2 together . but they don't want me get a desktop cuz they're afraid that it will distract me from studying.</p>
<p>It's all about CS 1.6 / Smash / Unreal / GH series.</p>
<p>I'm like half of the people in this thread. White, into computers without being an ubernerd, I play some guitar.. I'm basing my college choice entirely off the community. I love Porter's central area, but there are hippies. Cowell seems chill but lacking community, and Crown seems too nerdy. C19 too preppy. Oakes.. I'm a fan of hiphop, but more of dnb / trance.</p>

<p>Like I said, I'm going to Porter. I don't think theres too many more hippies than there are anywhere else on campus, and apparently theres a gaming scene there too. In my opinion the gaming scene there would be like the less nerdy ones compared to crown. I would think the Film & Digital Media people would play games, and they go to Porter. </p>
<p>And ya ZeroK!!! I think you can convince them, just tell them that having your stuff saved on your desktop would be safer, and then you can use the laptop for notes and just transfer the things over from your laptop to the desktop. I mean what if you had your term paper nearly done on your laptop, you drop it on the way to class, and the hard-drive stops working!!</p>

<p>Seeing as I'm going to be a computer game design major, I'm not too afraid of not having anywhere to game...but we could almost start a group just from the people on this forum, it seems.</p>

<p>Haha I'm a major gamer too, and I'm also in the game design major. I chose Cowell for 1st, and Crown for 2nd. I'm thinking of bringing a laptop if I get one to play PC games, and maybe my xbox or wii...
I dunno. But yeah, I'm sure there'll be gamers anywhere you go.</p>
