Help me choose!

I am a Michigan resident down to 3 choices, Northwestern, U of M, and Michigan State.

I can go to Northwestern for about 15,000, U of M for about 7,000, or MSU for about +9,000 (I have a scholarship and relative contributing generous amount even if I take that scholarship).

However, after visiting each school a few times, I definitely like NU and U of M quite a bit more than MSU, perhaps leaning most towards U of M with my gut.

Here is where most people say it really depends on your field of study but just to be clear from the outset, I'm not really sure what I want to go into (I am in MSU Honors, LSA Honors, and WCAS at NU), but am fairly confident that I will want to go into some type of graduate program and want to have nearly all options open for that (assuming I work hard enough in undergrad). Any thoughts?

A combination of gut and a fuller wallet is tough to beat unless you are hopelessly in love with NU.

Go to Michigan for ug. It's the best deal of the three and you like it. An easy choice.

Northwestern's price is much harder to justify if you're instate for Michigan.

You get to save $30,000 over 4 years by attending Michigan. That's not bad, especially if you intend on going on to graduate school some day. If you like Michigan and NU about the same, I say go for Michigan. And don't worry about academics. Michigan and NU are both strong accross the academic spectrum. You are unlikely to have a bad department at either school. Bottom line, NU is great, but Michigan is just as great and more fun! hehe!
