I am a transfer student that has been in the community college system for 1 and a half years so far. I have my eyes set on the university of michigan but have a few concerns. In high school I had a bad act score... I am kind of confused with whether or not I can just not include those in my package, or will that go against my tremendously during the admissions process. Also I have a 3.61 gpa and received 53 credits so far at my community college. I work alot so it shows I'm active and a full time student. Issue if I haven't been able to send my application in until yesterday. What does anyone think my chances are getting into michigan in the fall? Any feed back is appreciated

Maybe repost on the UMich forum?

Pretty low. 3.61 is extremely weak for CC.

^Disagree. 3.61 is a fine GPA.

In the real (non-Coll Conf) world, that is.

Yeah I know it’s not ivy high but it is pretty good in comparison. I just like to work and set me standards high.

Thank you for the forum recommendation! I reposted there

@wallrus75- really, because this is a good GPA?!? It is not like all the people here have to have a perfect GPA to be able to go on this website.

I believe Wallrus is saying a 3.61 GPA at a community college won’t WOW anyone at the UMich transfer office. (I could be mistaken)

3.61 is fine for many scenarios – but wishing to trnfr into UMich is not an easy task.
