Help me decide Gtown/ND/BC

Hi everyone! I need some help deciding where to go next year. I don’t have financial aid but i have some merit scholarships some places

  1. Georgetown- was always my dream school, got into SFS for international politics but now considering switching to the College for government/psych double major, con is that I’m worried that it will be too hard to get a GPA good enough for top law schools
  2. Notre Dame- I fell in love with this school when I toured it and went to a football game but a little concerned with how Catholic it is (I am protestant) and how far away it is from home ( i live in CT)
  3. Boston College- has always been one of my favorite schools, i love it there, good school spirit, closest to home, have a better chance of getting a good GPA for law school, but i can’t really justify my parents paying so much money when it is not as good academically as other schools i have been accepted to
Other options: Clemson honors (about 32k/year), Northeastern honors (40 k/year), South Carolina (22k/year), Richmond (full price), Uconn honors (15k/year), Villanova honors (full price), William and Mary (full price/Monroe scholar), Kenyon College (50k/year), GW (50k/year, honors program)

I love the top 3 schools soooo much, but I am a little concerned about it being so expensive because I do plan to go to law school and I feel bad doing that to my parents. Which school would you guys pick out of these options?

Thank you!!!

Forgot to mention that I am a poli sci major everywhere except Villanova (i got into VSB) and Georgetown where I’m doing international politics in the SFS

Of the GT, ND, BC, Villanova full pay options I would pick ND. The students are very happy there. But that is just my personal preference. Which was YOUR favorite of the full price options? ND is definitely a Catholic school. I get the feeling that Villanova is pretty religiously oriented too. It seems like day to day spending/weekends out could be pretty pricey in Georgetown. Parking a car as an upperclassman must be difficult and/or expensive in Georgetown! But you may never need a car in DC.

Of the merit options, ask yourself if Clemson is worth 10,000 more a year than U of South Carolina. because they seem pretty similar to me. Both great options with tons of school spirit, big game days, Greek life, etc. Very different from some of your other choices.

NE has the coop and the middle of the road price. Full-on city life in Boston, kids on and off of Coop in and out of the dorms each semester. Exciting for some, less so for others.

I hope this sort of “narrowed down” the options for you. Find your own way to sort through the choices. You have quite a collection of AMAZING options. What do your parents think?

@naviance Have you visited Univeristy of SC or Clemson?
