A little bit about me:
Class of 2015, go to a very prestigious public high school on national scale in affluent area (Maryland). GPA not set in stone atm, but I hope to finish off with a ~3.7 u/w. I think I would like to major in economics or business.
I am a year round runner (xc, indoor, outdoor) with a primary focus on 800m, I hope to run in college. I play tennis and enjoy an occasional round of golf. Ski too. I would consider myself a libertarian.

Colleges I think would be a good match for me based on the little research I've done (not necessarily for running):
Washington and Lee
Columbia
Hampden-Sydney
Wake Forrest
Georgetown (very appealing!)
UVa
U Richmond

I would prefer a preppy feel college on the east coast, open to anything however. Would also like it to not be filled with yappy super left wing students.

Your list appears full of matches based on your description of what you are looking for. Sounds like W&L and UVA are especially good fits. Preppy, predominantly conservative, beautiful landscape for runners. They both have very good business schools as well.

For east coast you might want to take a look at Villanova as well.

Don’t get me wrong JMU is a fine institution, but isn’t on par academically at all with schools in the same state such as UVa or W&L. I also think that it would be too diverse to call preppy.
