<p>I'm an URM (born in Peru and moved here 6 years ago).
GPA: ~3.75 UW. Very good upwards curve. 7% of class.
Always taken Honors/APs. Have taken 5 AP test and gotten 5s on all.
Texas.
SAT: 2030 (660 CR, 660 M, 710 W)
PSAT: 203 (National Hispanic Recognition)
ECs: Debate (4 years + good amount of local awards)
Tutored little kids with my mum for a year
Summer school courses to get done with required classes
Computer Science course at local university
University of Notre Dame Latino Community Leadership Seminar (40 Hispanic students in the country go to this).</p>

<p>I'm probably forgetting more awards/ECs but you get the idea.</p>

<p>Here are my current choices:
UT Austin (get in automatically)
Boston U
Fordham U
NYU
Columbia (lol)
U of Washington Seattle</p>

<p>What I want in a college:
- Good aid/scholarship opportunities
- Close to a big city (preferably in north east), urban campus
- Decent/good/great Computer Science program</p>

<p>Penn State? I’ll look into it. I was also thinking University of Pittsburgh.</p>

<p>No, I meant University of pennsylvania which is right in the city. If you are URM status, you can aim high though it is still tough. You wouldn’t like Penn State b/c it is in a remote area. Think about U Chicago also. It’s gonna be a reach.</p>
