Help me find the right college

<p>So, I am freaking out a bit. I've applied to three colleges last year around November (UTK, Vanderbilt, CBU) and I feel like I need more choices. UTK is being very stingy with the financial aid, as I've only received $6,000 from them and today just recieved an email that I have been denied from the Chancellor's Scholarships. CBU is too close.</p>

<p>I live in Memphis, TN and I want to go to a college that is somewhat far from here. I want to live on campus. The size of the college does not matter and I just want a college that will give me good chances at getting accepted to a nice graduate school. I want to pay as little as possible. Financial aid is very important.</p>

<p>Another issue right now is that it is too late to apply for many colleges and their scholarships, so I will need one that will give me the opportunity to apply for some scholarships.</p>

<p>I'm thinking of a majoring in the medical field, but want to have a chance to explore computer sciences.</p>

<p>Here are my stats:</p>

<p>GPA: 3.9512 | weighted: 4.2805
ACT: 32 (English: 34, Math: 29, Reading: 31, Science: 33) | superscore: 33 (reading: 36)
Rank: 5th (Still improving)
I have plenty of leadership and community service</p>

<p>Consider a gap year and applying differently this coming year. Or, you can wait and see which colleges make the list of openings still available after May 1st, but getting significant money from those can be iffy.</p>

<p>I agree with Creekland. If FA is very important you should have applied to more schools. Take a look here for some options next year:</p>
