Where are you in-state? That may play a factor in where you get in/the aid you receive. You definitely have a chance at a good number of the schools on this list, and the college admissions process can be strange, too: you may get into colleges that may have seemed inaccessible for you. I would narrow down your list based on cost and if applicable strength of programs related to your major/interest. Don’t forget to have a couple of reaches/dream schools there as well. Best of luck!
Bump! Any more opinions guys?
Are you applying for financial aid?
Do you know what you can afford? Have you run the NPC on all out-of-state or private universities and verified that you can afford them?
Is your GPA weighted or unweighted?
I am trying to guess whether Bridgewater State is a solid match or a safety. If it is a safety then you are fine. If it is a solid match then you might want to add a safety, although community college might be a safety. With this, and noting that I don’t know whether your GPA is weighted or not, here are my guesses on the schools that you have listed:
Boston University Probably out of reach. Probably expensive in the unlikely chance that you get in.
Bridgewater State University Probably a solid match. Definitely one to leave on the list.
Florida State University Don’t know. Being out of state would make it more expensive. Not sure if it is worth it.
Hofstra University Don’t know
Umass Amherst High reach. Great school.
Umass Boston Possibly high match. IMHO worth applying to.
University of New Hampshire Possibly high match. Probably also worth applying to. Great location.
Penn state University High reach.
University of Rhode island Don’t know.
University of Tampa Don’t know
@horsegirl14303 ‘Let the roasting begin.’ Love the honesty and modesty! (A welcome relief from the 1560 SAT and 4.7 GPA whiners for Ivies). Bump.
