Please refrain from expressing your judgements. Right now all I’m looking for is some useful information or advice if anyone has anything. So I went through two years of college at a big university with a bad gpa at first and then a TERRIBLE gpa by the end because I just completely stopped attending classes and turning assignments so that I failed more than a couple of classes. I don’t have any justifiable reason and I’m not trying to discuss this aspect here. I stopped attending school or paying fees after my second year and it has been almost a year since then. I am finally in a better place but I have no idea of what I can possibly do in terms of going back to an education anywhere. I want a fresh start and am now committed to making something happen and correcting what I have done. I just don’t even know where to start or how possible this even is. Any constructive thoughts will be appreciated. Please don’t try to address anything about this problem that I’m not directly asking for. Thank you!
Do you know what you want to study? What career you aspire to? A community college is likely the best path back to the classroom. Get a course catalog from a local CC and find a class that sounds intriguing. Something you really want to learn about. Sign up and get back in the swing. If you do well in a year or two of CC classes there are plenty of ways to transfer to a 4 year college and complete a degree. Instead, you may find a career path at the CC that doesn’t end at a traditional college - nursing, radiology tech, etc that you can complete entirely in the CC system. You are very young and hopefully you have done some self-reflection so that whatever you do, you do it for yourself. No one is going to make you go to classes - don’t sign up to go back until you WANT to go to class.
Great advice from VSGPeanut101. My advice was going to be similar.
The only thing I would add is to start with just one or two classes so you have a chance to develop good study habits. Good luck.
