Can I start over

I’m 19 and currently a freshman at community college. Let me honest and say that A) my grades are basically s*** B)I’m absolutely miserable C) This was the worst decision in my life! My overall gpa is a 1.7 yikes , and the courses that are transferrable that I actually passed are 12 credits 3.3 gpa. So far i attempted 34 credits and achieved 12. Can someone please help me I need to transfer NOWWWWW I don’t know if I can mentally take living at home anymore. Basically my parents convinced me cc would be a good decision and now i’m trapped. I can’t stay for another year or 2. I need to leave or i am going to go mentally insane. I am staying at CC for one last semester to bost my gpa back up. Honestly the reason im doing so bad in school is because im depressed i feel terrible and dont know what to do. I messed up big time. Can someone please give me REAL advice and help me!

Can someone please write somethinggggggggg!!! Please ?

Okay. First things first, you need to get your mental health straightened out. That needs to be your absolute, #1 priority. Your first step needs to be getting to a doctor who can properly diagnose you and put together a successful treatment plan for your needs. If you have a primary care physician (a doctor you go to for your physicals, for example), they will will be able to refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist to help you. You need to call your doctor first thing tomorrow morning! If you don’t have a primary care physician, go to your campus health clinic. They should be able to get you in contact with someone who can help you.

I am sure someone else will chime in with what to do academically, but I think everyone will agree that you need to see a doctor ASAP.

Will your parents pay for you to go away to school with those grades? Not sure what kind of school you could get into.

Drop school. Get a job. Move out. Go back to school when you think you’ll value it more.

First I would go to the counseling center at the college. And secondly, you will have to send a complete transcript from the CC anywhere you apply so you can’t just start over. IMO your best option is pulling it together where you are and showing a steady improvement in performance there.

Agree with the others. Priority number 1 is to seek the help of a counselor or psychologist right now. You also need to keep yourself busy and not focus on how unhappy you are. Your situation can’t be fixed overnight, or by people giving you advice here. Until you can get to your first appt, please google something like “how to relieve stress” and at least try some techniques.

Go to the college life forum on this site. There are a lot of threads posted by stressed out students and you might find some helpful info in those threads. Try a good supplement such as St.Johns Wort, or omega 3 fish oils, which are known to be beneficial. Obviously be sure that you follow all recommendations for those supplements.

Find a light at the end of your tunnel. If you can improve your grades, you will have many more options. It is going to be extremely difficult finding a college to transfer to with poor grades. Work really hard, get those grades up, and your options will be better. Many people go to Cc and successfully transfer to four year college. I did, and so can you, but your grades need to be your priority. Get your mental health in order, work hard in college, get a job, and be proactive. It’s good you have made a start by coming here, but it has to come from you to take steps and get your life in order.

Meanwhile, whatever is going on with your parents needs to be addressed. Can you sit and talk with them? Are they being unreasonable, or are you not abiding by their rules? You have to make things bearable, so grit your teeth and get through it, whatever that takes. You are living under their roof so you have to respect that.
