So I am completely confused and don't know what to do! I have gotten into univerisity of Michigan, Indiana university, colorado unversity- boulder and Ohio state university. I am waiting for university of Georgia but I do not think I will get in. If I don't get in I don't know where to go. I liked Michigans art program and I like how the campus was close to the college town everything seems really walk able however being from new York I felt that everyone goes there and it tends to be a "scene" and I really wanted to go somewhere where I would meet new people. I loved Indiana and my older sister goes there so it would be an easy adjustment and I would be familiar w the campus however I didn't like how spread out everything was. I liked Ohio state but I haven't visited and I loved the whole outdoorsy aspect of Colorado such a great location but I don't smoke and I feel that a lot of the people cu boulder attracts is people who smoke. I have no idea what to do!

Have you received the financial packages from the schools? Are all equally affordable? I’m confused - you live in NY, yet you feel that everyone goes to U Mich?

I will not receive financial aid. They are all affordable. and yes Michigan tends to attract a large east coast population and it tends to become a scene.

It seems like you have a lot of good choices - maybe make a list of pros and cons of all the schools, and when you see it all written down you’ll be able to make a better decision. Ask your parents for what they feel is important as well.

Good luck!

The University of Michigan is absolutely massive, so you’ll certainly meet new people. Don’t be discouraged that most other people are going there; what’s best for you may be best for someone else as well.

I would go to the University of Michigan if I were you. It’s a great school and because of its size (and based on what I’ve heard from others), it is a great place to meet new people. Oh, I also wouldn’t exclude Colorado because of the smoking thing. I hadn’t heard that stereotype, but generally stereotypes are false; even if they’re true, I’m sure its plenty easy to find a a diverse group of people who don’t fit that categorization.
