If you can't handle 1 Honors class and 4 IB classes, DON'T TAKE THAT MANY DIFFICULT CLASSES!

i can handle it just that im lazy adn tired when im at school

Good luck turning it around. You'll have a tuff time at college when you'll have 24/7 distractions available to you. Maybe plan to take a gap year and don't allow your parents to pay for your 1st two semesters of college. By investing your time and money, you'll quickly learn cause and effect.

Nobody can motivate you but yourself.

I've seen smart people with tons of potential waste their lives and high school careers by not doing the work due to apathy or laziness. It's a terrible thing to see. Get your ass in gear, buckle down, and do the work.

Being tired is no good. Make sure to get enough sleep, and exercise so you get more energy.

Being lazy is something you easily can change. Set goals for yourself. When you reach them, reward yourself with soemthing (a few hours of watching TV, or whatever).

Please see your doctor. A lot of kids catch mono which makes them feel tired, irritable and unmotivated. My middle son had asymptomatic mono (meaning he didn't complain of the classic symptoms) and suffered through a miserable semester before he was diagnosed.

thanks goldshadow kinda made me motivated and get my act together. and BOys im pretty sure i dont have mono and what is that?

or, you could have a sleep disorder where even when you are sleeping , your body is not resting or it's not getting enough rest no matter how much you sleep. That's what we have in our family

fourkidsmom, what disorder is that? I always wake up tired no matter how long I sleep at what time.

try meditating. it takes a long time to see benefits but it really works!

(and STAY AWAY from mmorpgs like WoW and Runescape. they suck the energy out of you.)

Make sure your diet is good and your getting enough nutrients. I wasn't and it made me fell lowsy and tired
maybe u can take a supplement for more energy
other than that, think of the future and where you would be if you failed...

ill help you motivate...

think about how you can prove the people ^ wronge when you end up getting straight As... especially Gaffe!

sleep apnea is the most common but there are others. A friend of our's son never went into REM sleep and couldn't function in school. Get a physical and talk to your doc about a possible sleep disorder. there are now sleep clinics in most major cities- usually it's a neurologist who sees people there.

Also thyroid probs can make you feel spacey and sluggish.

Read There Is No Such Thing As A Lazy Child By Mel Levine. It will tell you everything you need to know to diagnose your situation. Also read "Is This Your Child?" by Doris Rapp to start becoming an allergy sleuth.

Some possibilities:

Lack of sleep
Sleep Apnea
Depression
Anxiety
Allergies (new ones) - could be mold, dust, wheat, environmental things like glues or cleaning products, dairy, eggs, etc.
Adhd
Eye strain (need eyeglasses?)
Hormone imbalances
etc.

Solve your problem, get back on track, and don't look back on things that are too late to change. You are very young, and while you may have damaged your grades you still have every possibility for a bright future.

dont go to sleep late. when you go to sleep late, you're tired at school the next day, then you dont feel like doing your work, then your grades go down, you get streed, so then you get depressed, so you get more tired, and so you dont do your work, and the cycle goes on

Last year I got a solid 8-9 hours of sleep every night and I was able to get home and do my HW, no distractions, after school every day.

This year, I get 6-7 hours of sleep every night and it's because of a vicious cycle I've gotten myself into: procrastination.

So, a really good amount of sleep every night helps a lot, I think.
