If you are gonna be smart--then don't reply!a

Hi, I am in the 11th grade and I am not motivated at all. So far I have missed all of this week from school. Whenever my dad wakes me up in the morning I justw ant to cry and go back to sleep. Any tips on getting up in the morning? Thanks

go to bed earlier

develop incentives (i.e. sports team practice, a funny friend to see) that will make you want to go to school

Maybe you have depression....? See someone if it persists.

Get your dad to pour icy water on your face.
If that doesn't work, get him to play music really, really loudly.

Are you just tired and overwhelmed at this point? If so, take a break from the tolling things and find a schedule that works for you, perhaps develop some better sleeping habits. For some reason the first thing that popped into my mind was depression, but perhaps you are also misguided. Like someone else said, find an activity to engage yourself in so that you'll have something to look forward to everyday.

If you're just having problems waking up, try setting several alarms in multiple locations out of reach at different times so that you'll have to get up and turn them off and it'll also prevent you from climbing back into bed and hitting snooze over and over. But nothing can compensate for a good night's rest.

I think the best thing to do is that over winter break, don't schedule yourself too much. Get a lot of sleep, and spend some time for yourself, whether watching TV or reading a book. Usually doing some things for myself inspires me to really find something I love (other ppl's stories... inspire me) and truly do it well. If you're a sucker for corny teen flicks like I am, try watching Ice Princess- works wonders.

Im so sorry, hun! Molly's right. You probably need more sleep. Also, are you having issues with your friends at school? Ive skipped school days because I was so over with having to face other peoples issues.

Don't worry :) everyone gets like that sometimes. I skipped a lot of school junior year because I didn't want to be there, didn't like getting up early, etc. The people at my HS really suck, and I basically depend on my BFF and a small select group of people I tolerate. Elitist *****? Maybe.

The best motivation for me is college, honestly. Don't worry about missing school if you keep up your grades/turn things in on time/don't miss tests. Otherwise, being there is pointless. Stay home responsibly. I know its overwhelming to go back to school when you've missed a lot (gotta love t5he attendance office and their snotty looks haha). But you'll get through it :).

Spend time with your family, watch heartwarming movies that don't make you feel bad about yourself (i.e. teen flicks that are geared towards inspiring a feeling of inadaquacy). CHRISTMAS MOVIES! Elf, Home Alone, etc.

PM me if you want more suggestions, I know exactly how you feel, and I have hours of advice in my head on this subject, haha.

Feel better!

Tips? Well you have to right? Go to school and try your very best, and you will be happy to where you end up. However, try your very BEST.

Good luck, Ramettechick

Eat alot to keep you happy.
Run outside and release Edorphins.
Worry about the present.
Sleep alot.
Profit.

Put your hand in a bowl of warm water before you go to bed and leave it there... that'll wake you up.

well this is either caused by something serious like depression,

or you could follow molly's advice if it isn't that serious.

I put my phone (my alarm) on the loudest, most obnoxious ringtone on the opposite side of the room- i have no choice but get out of bed and turn it off. if you're really bad put it near your door so you're closer to the door than you're bed

get your thyroid checked out. especially if you're a girl.
