Help me pick!

Help me decide between Northeastern, Syracuse, University of Connecticut, University of Delaware, University of Massachussetts- Amherst, University of New Hampshire, SUNY Binghamton, SUNY Albany and Penn State- University Park. I have no idea. I am still undecided about what I want to do, most likely something in the sciences or engineering but not sure. It doesn't matter whether it's in the city or not. I know it's a large list but I am totally lost. Any help would be appreciated.

I would say the one with the most name recognition is Northeastern. It's probably the most competitive as well. However, I don't know about engineering programs at each college.

Any more help?

Well, I'm a Delaware resident, and I hear UD's great in sciences as well as ChemE, if you're thinking about that.

And Syracuse does have a lot of name recognition, but I think that's a sports thing. I'm not sure how their science programs are.

Does money make a difference?

i'd say penn state or uconn for the majors that you selected, but Syracuse and UMass are great school for other majors (not as stong in science)

Are you in DUS at Penn State? That would seem the ideal way to go if you are undecided.

Penn State and Delaware are the best picks. Penn State is the one with the most name recognition in the whole list and is a great experience academically and socially.

No money doesn't make a difference.

Did you visit any of them yet?

UConn is kind of in the middle of nowhere but it's a good state school. Syracuse is a really nice school.

I'd narrow it down to UConn, Syracuse, UMass, and Penn State.

Be sure to visit all of the schools.

I visited only UDel. So far I've been accepted to UMass, UConn, U of New Hampshire, SUNYAlbany and waitlisted to Penn State. I am going to visit all of them in April.

This seems so random. UConn is a good school in the middle of nowhere. Is that going to work for you? Do you want an urban or small town environment?
Northeastern is a good school right in the city. Northeastern's big carrot is the coop program. Have you done any research about the program? Does it appeal to you?
Syracuse has some respected programs, but again is in a less than urban environment. Weather in Syracuse can be bitter...do you care about weather?
Visit the schools that you are accepted to and go from there. When you have visited them, you will have a much better idea of which one feels like a good fit for you.

The environment doesn't bother me. I've lived all my life in NYC and wouldn't mind a change. Yeah, the coop program does appeal to me but I'm not in love with it. I don't care about weather that much either.

just visit them then go from there
they are all similar (pretty big, in the northeast, all good academically)
i'm in the same boat pretty much... deciding between umass, northeastern, suny UB, and maryland... I'm just probably going to choose whichever ones give me the most money (because cost is a concern for me), then visit some and decide which is a better fit and which program I like more..

I would say UNH its a really pretty campus, fine academics, and good athletics. Syracuse would be a close second to me.

What major did you apply for at Penn State?

Yeah I heard a lot of great things about UNH and like that they are close with NASA. I applied for Penn State as undecided, porbably got waitlisted because my application was in the December pool, had it been earlier, I would have been accepted as a few kids from my school did.

I know it's annoying but any more advice?
