Help me please im desperate

I got all around 500-565 on all three sections of the SAT.

For math: I forgot a lot of geometry concepts and formulas, and a lot of the word problems were really hard. How do I get better on the math portion?? I know practice makes perfect and i have to take a bunch of practice tests, but are there any workbooks out there that review geometry and algebra 2?

For writing: So basically I never actually learned grammar.
All through elementary when we would have grammar quizzes I would get 100% because I just circled what sounded right..
Fast forward to my SAT practice tests, I get a 500 on the writing section because a lot of the multiple choice "sounds right" to me...and I cant use my native speaking to help me through the writing MC portion.

So now I need to learn grammar rules and I need recommendations on good SAT Writing workbooks that tells you the grammar rules!

For Critical Reading: I find that I have to read the passages over and over again...How should I improve?

PLEASE HELP :( ANY REPLY IS APPRECIATED

For geometry (and pretty much any topic in math), knowing why the theorem or formula is true is far better than simply remembering the formula. I still don’t understand why some CCers here cringe at memorizing the “distance formula” for two points.

For grammar, yes there are rules, and picking the “correct-sounding” choice only works ~50% of the time. I was able to improve my writing from 500 to ~680 by just memorizing a few grammar rules.

A good reading strategy is to skim the questions first, go through ones that reference earlier points in the passage (since they’re ordered), and do those first. It tends to be more efficient than reading the whole passage first.

First, …(I don’t know what to talk about SAT math because it’s not hard for where I come from)

Second, most SAT grammer problems have more than one option that sound correct but are actually wrong. You don’t need to learn about all the grammer rules to cope with SAT grammer because the types of question in it are fixed. What you need to do is just to do lots of SAT grammer questions, sum up what kinds of questions there are, and figure out (you may ask your teachers for help)some systematic ways to solve specific types of grammer questions in SAT. That is what I did for 2 month before I took SAT, and it’s proved efficient.

Third, you need to read the passage over and over again because it’s difficult to understand. To improve, you should

expand your vocabulary
whatever vocabulary books you use, figure out the excat meanings of every word so that you don’t have this feeling “oh, I saw this word, but I don’t remember what it means now”
(I’d recommend BARRON’S 3,500 Basic Word List)

read more books,challenging ones
For example, Stark Trek, usually, is not considered challenging, while books like Pride and Prejudice, The Red And the Black are.

start to answer the questions when you are reading
It’ll be a waste of time to read the whole passage and then answer the questions because you may’ve forgot it and need to re-read it.
While it’s also a waste of time to answer one question immediately after reading one paragraph(the frequent switchs from passage to question waste time), I suggest you to do several questions after reading two to three paragraphs. This way, you will still remember most of the contents.

I wish my advices can help.

Thank you  where do you learn the grammar rules?
