Help Me Pleasee

So I just recieved my acceptance letter today, they had a mix up and so I got it pretty late. I am having trouble on deciding whether or not I should choose W&M. People keep telling me that its boring and that there is no social life, is this true? I want to get a good education but have a social life as well. Please help, anyone, its either this or I'm guessing jmu but I lean more towards W&M, its just the social scene thats bothering me. Any input would be GREATLY appreciated..thank you :-)

the only thing I can tell you is that almost everyone I've ever talked to that's gone to W&M has loved it. The kids there seem to manage to find enough to keep them busy (and I don't mean just spending time in the library). Ultimately, you have to go where you feel most comfortable. Can you get to Accepted Students this coming Saturday? That would give you a good chance to talk to current students about your concerns.

From an older person's perspective, graduating from W&M may carry a little more cache than JMU when you enter the workforce.

A little more cache? Thats an understatement. There is plenty to do at W&M. The partying may not be a loud as other, larger schools but whenever you have 5000 kids between the ages of 18-22 there will be partying. But there will less pressure to do binge drinking and drugs, but there will be partying.

You would be crazy to choose JMU over W&M.

I would like to thank you both for your input! It really has helped, honestly. I do plan on going on saturday to the admitted students event, hoever, I will be late, because I have to take a practice AP exam that morning, required at our school, and so I'm afraid I might get there too late. But, I will try my best. thank you once again, it really has helped! :-)

Good luck! You'll know if it's the right place for you, just keep an open heart and open mind and everything will work out the way that's best for you
