for the common app essay, i want to write about how my twin brother has influenced me and how we've been in "friendly-competition" since we were little and have supported each other and things like that
but i don't know how to start it!
i consider myself a good writer and i know how important the very first sentence of a piece is. i don't want to start with something standard like, "it all started back when..." or anything like that.
any ideas?

<p>Start at the end. Write a “normal” essay (do not pay too much attention to opening/ending) and literally switch the first and last paragraphs. Then make some touch-ups on each of them to make sure the logic is proper, and you have got a good essay.</p>
