I took Micro and Macroeconomics AP in high school and got 5s in both of them,
and I'm planning to study as a econ major at NYU.
I was wondering if I can still get credit for these AP scores as an elective.

This is what the economics major site says: While AP credit in economics with a grade of 5 is acceptable, it does not reduce the total number of courses required for the major or minor.

I understand that my AP econ scores can't be counted as credit towards my major, but if it's "acceptable," does that mean that I can still get credit for it as an elective??
Help!!
