<p>The Second Great Awakening brought the disenfranchised (women, slaves, the poor) to the forefront, and they played a major role in the meetings. These meetings were places where these largely unrepresented groups could come together which lead to the forming of women's rights groups and the spreading of abolitionist ideas.</p>

<p>changes in electoral politics - since universal manhood suffrage was allowed in many states without much resistance. This brought about the age of Common man, also the elections changed a lot. Could William Henry Harrison be elected if universal manhood suffrage wasn't allowed? Also the campaigns mostly now instead of logical reasoning resorted to slogans and sometimes defaming the opponent.</p>
