Help me with my homework?:)

I've gotten almost everything on this crossword except 2 words. Its about the American Colonies Emerging(Jamestown and Massachusetts Bay Colony)..

Down 2..Member of a pacifist community commited to equality and friendship.
e-a---

I'm guessing that's a person.

Across 7..Its prevalence nearly sunk Jamestown colony
-i-----

The 2nd last letter of Down 2 matches the 4th of Across 7.

Across 7 is disease. I don't know about 2 ,but give me a minute and I'll figure it out.

If it's disease then its e-a-e-... I can't think of a person, only thing that jumps out at me when I see pacifist is "quaker". It says member so I don't know...the last two letters, the a and the e fit... are you sure that first e is right? long shot

oh this is frightening me because it makes me remember that i start school in a few weeks and i'll once again be re-acquainted with torturous homework. :[

Disease did ravage Jamestown. Including the winters which brought starvation and disease. I think you did something wrong elsewhere.

I think it is quaker because the term was developed in the 17th century. You might have the "e" wrong. Member doesn't have to mean a person. It could be what they called that member of that certain group.

Try Quaker.

That's what I meant, the original first e they have, for the 2 down, not the "e" you had from disease.

I think quaker is probably right.

Thanks for Disease and Quaker:)

I know Quaker seems familiar..And I just kind of went for it with 1 across(First Native American group to take a major stand against colonists)

I'll check it tomorrow morning(1 across)

1 across is --?q?--- btw

I put Pueblo first for 1 across

It's Pequot for 1 across, disease and Quaker are right, thanks everyone:)
PS US History sucks, especially with this book "The Americans" by McDougal Littell 1998:(
