So I'm trying to decide where to go to college. I'm a junior now and I have been looking at Louisiana State University. I want to know what the atmosphere is like, what are the dorms like, and in general what type of person will fit in there. Also, from what I have read it seems I should be able to get in. My stats are:
3.2 GPA
1090 SAT CR + M
1640 with writing
I'm taking the ACT in April and I am aiming for a 24 or 25.
I've been on the varsity track team since freshman year.
I also have a job and could get great recommendation letters.
Just let me know the things that I should know about LSU.

Look at the LSU website and you will find information on the minimum scores needed for admission. There are minimum test scores for Math and English that must be met.

I will be a Freshman in Fall 2014. I visited last November, and on April 9th I will be attending the Spring Invitational event where I will be participating in early registration for Fall classes.

I have been accepted into the Engineering Residential College, where two bedrooms (2 students each) share one bathroom. I liked the campus and decided to attend, even though I have also been accepted at University of Florida, University of Maryland, University of Miami, Florida State University, University of Central Florida and Texas A&M.

You can E-Mail or call the Admission Counselor for your state and ask questions.
The financial aid website has information on the minimum scores needed for scholarships.

Actually the price did not have anything to do with my decision. The major that I finally decided on, is not offered at the University of Maryland, but is offered at LSU.
