Help Me

I have visited University of Iowa, Illinois and Alabama.

I have been a Iowa fan my whole entire life and really enjoyed the campus. It wasn't exactly the prettiest campus but they seemed flexible and fun.

Illinois was blah to me. I don't care for Illinois as a sports team so that doesn't help. The buildings and dorms seemed gross and dull. I also would prob have to go in undeclared because its a bit of a reach for me.

I loved Alabama. The campus is beautiful. The buildings are brand new. The dorms are brand new. Everyone was friendly. People were helpful since I visited all the way from IL. They even made a opening to talk to me about the business school. I am just concerned I would go all the way down there and hate it.

ACT: 26
GPA: 3.6 unweighted
EC: 6 years varsity sports. 2 years JV. Captain of the golf team Sr. year. Captain of JV basketball team. National Honors Society. Key Club. Volunteer hours.
Class Rank: Prob sucks because I am in a class of 75 with prob over 15 kids with 4.0's.

Important Factors:
Decent Education
Weather
Sports Program (sounds bad but I care about the atmosphere for football games)
Buildings

What are we supposed to help you with? You've got the University of Iowa and Alabama. You're too vague about what you're looking for to. For example, one important factor was weather. Well, U. of Iowa's going to be FREEZING in winter. Do you want cold wather, warm weather, what? What about the weather?

By the way, my physics teacher went to University of Iowa.

good warm weather. Its not a must just a plus. New state of the art buildings. I am looking to major in business. Its more of which one would you pick and why?

Get on the school's website, go to 'accolades' if this is the school that had them (I might be thinking of U.Texas at Austin's website), and SEE what the business school ranking is.

Or goggle "USNWR business school ranking for _____________" and see what comes up.

You need to do some wandering on the Internet to find out how well regarded the business school is.

Thanks for telling me about Alabama-huntsville campus. That one is shaping up to be high on our college list, not #1 but clearly#3, and if things pan out the way they look like they will, it will become the school my d winds up at.
