Help (microbiology major doubts)

I’m currently a microbiology major, but I’ve been recently taking nursing classes. I’m currently about 3 years away from graduating, but I’m not sure microbiology is for me. I don’t know what major to pick though. The only real classes that fascinate me are psych and some bio classes. I just don’t know if I would enjoy a career in biology. My friends are pushing me to try something like Management Information Systems, but I’m a little cautious because I don’t think business is for me either. (I’m decently tech savvy, but not like a programming kind of guy.) I was doing nursing because it seemed like a job that fit my lifestyle and when I shadowed a nurse it was pretty fun. But as a backup plan, I’m not sure what I should do. Getting into Nursing is pretty difficult and I’m trying not to put all my eggs in one basket.

It sounds like you have a pretty good idea that microbiology isn’t for you already. You still should have plenty of time to switch out of it into psychology or whatever major. Maybe check out some assignments that your friends have had and see if you enjoy them? Otherwise, I would not be coerced into a major just because they want you to do it.
