HELP midterm reports not sent

My registrar forgot to send midterm reports to four music conservatories that I have applied to. While their websites quote a Feb. 1 deadline, if the midterm reports arrive in eary March could I still be considered? Would it help if I explained the situation to the admissions office? If it means anything I have very high SAT scores and a very high GPA and these schools have received my transcript and have information about my high academic performance.

Thanks,
Forrest

You’ll need to contact the schools to find out. Most schools allow leeway for things like transcripts and midterm reports because those are not under the control of the student.

Well, I guess you need to make sure those are sent pronto! And email the admissions offices–individual admissions officers responsible for your region if you can find them–to tell them that the mid-year reports are on their way.

Will they still be accepted and considered? Probably. But, regardless, you should have them sent and you should email the conservatories immediately. If it is too late (which I highly doubt), it’s cost you no money and rather little effort. If it isn’t too late, then this really matters. The potential upside is huge, and the potential downside almost zero.
