So it's the night before the AP Calc final and I am typing this with a 104º fever. I was in the ER a few nights ago because my fever wouldn't come down from that temperature for several days (with tylenol and motrin it only went down to 102.5 and the last time I got a serious fever was ten years ago) I can barely think, let alone study. As of now I have a very low C in the class but the way the final is set up, I need at least a C+ to not get a D. The ER doctor wrote a note that technically excused me from class Monday - Wednesday entirely, but I can't miss tomorrow because we graduate the next day and grades are finalized, and my teacher says that I'll most likely end up with a D if I don't go because of the way he's weighting the final. I will likely have a fever when I take the final tomororrow as well but my teacher is strictly zero tolerance about these things.

Please help...If I do take it tomorrow and truly end up not doing as well as I would like, will this jeopardize my Cornell admissions? I'm not even a freshman admit, rather a conditional sophomore one (guaranteed transfer) so I'm concerned about how they'll look upon this. Beforehand I was set to skate by with a low C, but now there are no guarantees.

If I do get a D, would sending a final transcript with the doctor's note attached explaining my circumstances (and my AP scores) help? My first year school is "fine" with D's in the sense that one D does not even warrant a warning letter, strangely enough. Should I wait until Cornell asks me about this or speak out about it upfront? I'm thinking of preparing a letter and waiting because I don't want to draw unwanted attention to one subpar grade but idk at this point.

I probably left out a lot of stuff, so please ask me if you have any questions. Thank you.
