I'm currently trying to hold everything together, I've been so nervous these last weeks and I honest can't get this off my mind. I am a good student, I always make A's and B's in everything, except for math. I recently got a C in the first 9 weeks and now I'm holding on to a 65 in Calculus. This is not a case of senioritis, I do my homework, ask questions, have a tutor, study 3 hours a night and do everything right but when it comes to the tests, I end up doing so badly. I've talked to my teacher and she says that I'm doing everything right but I feel so frustrated and angry. My dream school is FSU and I want to get in so badly. If I do get in, I'm so worried that this possible D on my final transcript in calculus will ruin absolutely everything I've worked so hard for. Will this possible D ruin my chances of going to FSU? I've looked online and it says that if I receive a D or an F on my transcript that will make it very likely for my application to be denied, and I'm so scared and worried. Should I drop the class? I've cried so much about this and I feel like nothing I'm doing is right. I've looked at forums where people got rescinded due to a D and I'm making myself even more paranoid :( Any advice would be great!

I’d call admissions first. I don’t think you’d get rejected if you have very good grades in all your other classes. They’d probably recognize your academic history and that this one class in particular is giving you trouble.

What I think will help you is that this isn’t going to be on your transcripts when FSU makes a decision regarding your admission since you’re just in the class now. It might hurt you a bit if there’s a D on your final transcripts, but I don’t think that 1 D on your final transcripts (assuming all other classes are As/Bs) will be enough to get you rescinded.

Did you apply for the decision on Dec. 17th? If you did then no they aren’t looking at current grades and won’t affect if you get in or not. If you are applying for the next round then yes it will and you should retake it via FLVS online.

did you get in?
I am in the same exact identical, position as you. Please tell me what happened
