HELP Misleading Previous School Profile

Hi, I have already been admitted Umich for the Class of 2015, and I just logged onto the Web Service they provided when I was an applicant because I was bored.

On my Common Application (back when I applied) I listed Columbia as a college where I attended a weekly enrichment program/u It wasn't for a grade. However, on the Mich website they listed Columbia University as a "Previous School" I attended (they also listed my high school there in the same category)

PREVIOUS SCHOOLS

School
Degree
Date Expected/Received

Columbia Univ, Columbia Coll.
New York, NY

XXXXXXXXXX High School
High School Diploma
06/20/2011

XXXX, NY

I've already been accepted as a freshmen so I don't foresee any problems with this unless they somehow later think I'm a transfer student from Columbia? What is your opinion of this and do you think I should get this clarified just in case there is a mistake, or am I being paranoid. Thanks! (Sorry for the double questions in another thread)

nope, that’s just how it shows up. i had a college course listed at the university of maryland and it shows up the same way you describe. they obviously had more info than the institution’s name when reviewing your file, a they would’ve seen the classes you take there, and the fact that you’re enrolled in high school

I emailed them about the same issue. I had done Governor’s School at a college campus over the summer and it was listed as a previous school. After I emailed them they said they noted it on my application, but it didn’t really matter for my admissions decision.

If you’re talking about Columbia SHP i go to that too and it shows up like that for me too.

haha, thanks! just making sure (:

This was also the case with my son, except that he attended the Summer College Engineering Exposure Program (SCEEP) at U of M summer of 2010, so U of M is listed as one of his schools attended on WA. Probably didn’t hurt his EA acceptance! ;)
