Hello all,
I'm new to this forum and I feel as though this would be the best place to ask about transferring. I recently moved from Kentucky to NY to pursue better education, but my high school held me back from moving 5+ times and having many credits not transfer (I spent most of my senior year making up over 18 credits; it wasn't pretty!!)

Anyway, I'm currently attending Nassau CC and I feel as though I'm getting a great education by being able to choose the best professors possible (with thorough educational backgrounds, which are a plus.)

However, I also work part time and haven't had the extensive EC backgrounds that some of you all have. :) I'm currently majoring in liberal arts with emphasis on Psychology, but I'd like to become a Forensic Psychologist.

At this moment I'm only a freshmen and, as stated above, starting my life over -- so far I have a 4.0 GPA and I'm only involved in the Psychology club.

I'd like to do some Psychology internship but that isn't offered until sophomore year at the least (and only certain companies offer them, usually for child care services.) I looked over an application to Barnard College, and well.. The EC section looks pretty intimidating. :P I was looking to transfer to either there, NYU, or John Jay College of Criminal Justice in two years... And attend Columbia Uni. for grad school. I feel as though going to the two former colleges listed above would be better candidates for a good chance at Columbia - But I know that isn't everything. :)

I would greatly appreciate anyone's imput as to what I can do (keep in mind I also work 20+ hours a week), along with Psych club, that would help increase my chances of pursuing the dream of a better education. Like a "rags to riches" story lol.. I also finally got accepted to the honors program, and am taking two courses (not much is offered) next semester.

Thank you so much for your time!
