Help! MPP at KSG & debt vs. GPPI, GWU, Heller

Hi all, I need some advice. I am trying to figure out where I should go for my MPP.

I was accepted at KSG but with NO money. I have a full ride at GWU and a hefty stipend, got a half-assistantship from UMD, and am waiting to hear back about finaid from GPPI.

I also was accepted at Brandeis' Heller school (with about 3/4 tution funding) and I really like the social policy program there but have heard mixed things about the MPP and Heller itself. I liked the vibe at GWU but a lot of the students were saying it wasn't that challenging, and I am really looking for a place that will challenge me and give me a good set of skills.

I want to go into either nonprofit or public service in child and family domestic policy. I'm really not sure whether I want to eventually get a PHd and graduating with over $80,000 in debt doesn't seem to make sense if I am going back to school. That being said, if I just get my MPP, I've heard KSG will give me more opps.

Any advice?

Thanks!

I am pretty much in the same boat as you, it is amazing! I am in at KSG and deciding between that, Hopkins (no news on funding yet!) and American (full ride).

The DC advantage cannot be denied but I definitely feel like I will have a more challenging curriculum at KSG. But the debt--ahh, the debt! :)
