Hey my brother is a rising junior in high school and we figured he should start looking at some schools. He definitely wants a good computer engineering program and academics are his main concern. He also isn’t the party type but doesn’t mind a party scene as long as he isn’t required to take part in it. He’d prefer to stay in the northeast but he’d be willing to go anywhere in the country for the right school. His gpa is about a 3.6 UW, 4.3 W because he takes the hardest courses (AP, high honors, honors). And his PSAT was about a 2000 but with more prep were thinking a 2100 this year. Could you guys recommend any schools? He loved Lehigh when we visited but wasn’t too fond of the social scene. (Frat dominated, alcohol chugging, you get the picture)
Cost constraints? State of residency?
Look at Stevens Institute of Technology, NJIT, WPI, RPI, and RIT.
@ucbalumnus cost isn’t an issue. We have a lot of financial support from family and live in NJ so definitely applying to Rutgers.
All the AITU schools will probably fit him.
Perhaps look into URochester, Villanova, Lafayette, Union
Yeah I was thinking Rochester and Villanova would be great. Thanks for the help everyone!
