Hmm... since we're talking about skin care, my face is generally okay, but my forehead gets oily really easily. And the pores on my nose are gigantic and it's always oily. Is there a fix?

I used a prescription topical cream called Differin for the forehead and face for a while. It helped.

Pore strips, oil-absorbing wipes for the T-zone area, mud masks + peels

I find it a bit weird that there's a thread like this on here...lol

I second most of the other people in this thread HOWEVER absolutely do not go overboard and start scrubbing your face raw or applying lotion with a paintbrush. Too much product can make your face even greasier.

chocolatelover: The relationship b/w chocolate or greasy foods and oily skin has long been disproved. You're probably going through hormonal changes or chronical stress. Conventional wisdom: Chill out :D

buy some facewash. frequent the bathroom at school. try not to eat oily foods. don't touch your face too much if you have pimples/acne

if you just have alot of oil constantly on your face then wipe with a paper towel or somehting, but the best way to clean it is fully wash it with soap and water. a little bit of the that fancy cream doesn't hurt either =]

roflc0pter, do you have bangs/does your hair touch your forehead? Either way, the best fix would be to stop using hair products (gel, etc., if you do) and keep your hair off your face.

Also, in general, if you wash your face too often, your skin will either get dried out or even more oily- I recommend either washing it once in the morning or once right before you go to bed.

Use the blotting paper specifically made for this - Clean and Clear or your local drugstore's knock-off version, or the higher-end stuff if you can afford it, though I swear by C&C. Keep the little pack with you and use a sheet frequently (being careful to press, not wipe). They're great because they don't remove any makeup or medication you've used after washing your face in the morning. And they really, really work.

There isn't anything about your diet that's causing this, and the pill may or may not help - it often helps with breakouts but NOT necessarily with very oily skin. As other posters have said, don't over-scrub. And it's not likely you'll get an Accutane prescription for oily skin; that's much more likely to be prescribed for serious acne.

I have this same problem in school. I just go to the bathroom and wash my face off with water and wipe it off with paper. Just make sure there IS paper to use to wipe of your face. Sometimes I don't check and wash my face first, and then find out there is no paper. So I have to walk around in the hallways with a wet face looking for another bathroom with paper or use my shirt.

Not quite the best name.

honestly this is what you do, i had the worst oily face for years until my friend told me this.

Go to walgreens and by babypowder (like the good soft kind). Everymorning after you wash your face and everything, as your leaving just put a little of that wherever you get oily, and i guarantee you won't be oily all day, even after you go to gym.

Its honestly the best possible solution for somebody like me with a really oily face no matter what they do. It works PERFECTLY, and the $3.00 mini thing of baby powder will last you all school year.

i have problems also haha. all i do is wash my face every once in a while. haha and i use noxzema for acne.

clean and clear oil absorbing sheets.

i bought a pack of 50 off ebay and i have a pack in my purse, bag, car, wherever i am...
