What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks!

just occasionally, go to the bathroom, wash your face with some water, and dry it off with paper towels. no more oill

cut down on the chips...drink a lot of water, try to get sleep, exercise (like at gym...don't slack...it really helps), try to sweat (like occasionally, I'll study in a really hot tub and just sweat to clean my skin...), use toner after cleaning your face with soap
Also, there are specially types of cosmetic paper like things that remove oil from your face on the go...they REALLY help
Oh, and be careful of the type of lotion that you use, it shouldn't make your face like oily....usage should be moderate to...
wow...one of my longer posts...hoped it helped

^^ Thanks! Very helpful!!! :)

anymore advice?

your name should be an indication of what's wrong

true, I am addicted to chocolate.....lol.

CHOCOLATE IS OKAY!...
I eat it all the time, and I never have outbreaks or really oily skin...
just sacrifice other stuff for choco that's what i do...
(dark chocolate = amazing! 70% dark chocolate=only lovable form of choco ^.^)

^ I'm actually not much of a dark chocolate fan. :)

Milk chocolate is soooooooooooo much better! lol

Dark chocolate makes me think I am eating manure (no I never tried it)

Chocolatelover...any Italian in your background? Your heredity has the most to do with your oily skin...my daughter had same prob. Got on Accutane...absolute miracle drug..though highly regulated in the states as it can cause birth defects. It's a derivative of Vit. A and it basically shrinks your oil glands over the course of many months. Cleared my D skin beautifully and we tried a lot of other stuff prior to this. Go see a dermatologist...don't delay...you don't want terrible acne scarring.

^ I don't believe that any of my ancestors were Italian :)

Mainly Irish and Lithuanian. :)

Thanks for the advice!! Keep it coming!

i would REALLY recommend going on the birth control pill before going on accutane. i had oily-ish skin and mild/moderate acne (maybe 6-10 zits/whiteheads a week) but i have basically none now. ive been on the pill for about four months, but my face only took about a week to clear up. i wish i had gone on the pill sooner, instead of waiting until i was seventeen.

the pill has a lot less side effects than accutane. accutane seems to be a really nasty drug. if you are a woman of childbearing age, i think they hesitate to give you accutane, since it is so devastating to fetuses. but with the birth control pill, i have not suffered from any side effects. my skin is a lot smoother and clearer, and the whole no-PMS thing is also a big benefit.

Eating fatty foods doesn't cause acne or anything. Just keep your face clean and don't touch it. Wash it in the morning and night with a soap wash.

This is advice from a male, wash your face. Haha
And consume lots of fruit?

Chocolate and greasy foods have no effect on your skin. However, if you drink lots of water, it'll definitely clear up. What product do you use to wash your face? Maybe try switching facial soaps. It might help to wear a headband or something at night to keep your hair off your face... and if you have bangs, you might want to consider growing them out. Also, avoid touching your face as much as possible; your fingertips are very oily and will transfer the oil to your face.

Good luck!

In the morning, wash your face off, tear off one square of toilet paper, fold it in half four times, pour alcohol on it, wipe your face. Should keep your face dry (and helps acne if that's a problem). It works better for keeping your face dry than acne medications or w/e, though it doesn't work as well for actually getting rid of acne.

Moisturize your face with face lotion (Cetaphil is good), and NOT face cream. Cream is for drier skin, and lotion is for oily.

wash face occasionally.

Use a good facewash!
I 1000x recommend LUSH's Coalface. It's amazing.

Also drink water.

If you use sunscreen on your face, try to use alcohol-based rather than oil-based, and use a shampoo for oily hair - a lot of the oil on your face can come from your hair.

Cetaphil Liquid Cleanser for Oily Skin and Neutrogena acne wash are fantastic. I use Neutrogena, and it really helps keep my skin clear.

And my mom's a dermatologist, so she would know. ^_^
