S2 got into IU Kelley pre-business (standard admit), and San Jose State for business/ MIS. Kelley is a top 11 undergrad business program but we are our of state (in CA). San Jose State Lucas is not ranked nearly as high, but is in Silicon Valley and has tons of placement around the Valley. What is the advantage of going to a higher ranked (and more expensive) program? Just Wall Street placement? He may be going the tech/ consulting route, but finance is an opiton.
IU people rate I U higher than the reality. They are not flooding WS. SJSU actually has good placement.
True story. lol
Getting to Wall Street from IU requires you to be at the top of the class (and usually in the IB workshop) and you’ll be competing with many others gunning for those positions, so it won’t come easily.
Meaning not directly admitted to the business major? If so, note that getting in through secondary admission has automatic admission with a 3.5 college GPA with no grade lower than B (B- not acceptable) and no withdrawals or pass/fail grade options (among other requirements); otherwise, admission is competitive: Current IU Students | Bachelor's Degree in Business | Indiana Kelley
Neither is really a feeder for IB.
Connections + Luck (even from feeder schools)
