Dear to whom it may concernl:
I am current student in kingsborough community college with 3.9 GPA. I am thinking if i should apply to Columbia university. What are the chances that they will accept me. My request is how do I apply to columbia? Filling out the application is not my concern. but what it really is "Personal Statement" how will i get the topic? when I am filling out application, all they tell me to do is pay $70 before filling out the second process of the application. Any idea what should i do. I really don't want $70 to go in trash.

Part 1 is just information, nothing really important, just forms.

Part 2 is your GPA, activities, test scores etc. The Personal Statement also goes there, and it is just a college essay–around 2 pages, on whatever you want.

Am I missing something here?

Do none of you responders think OP is WAY past the application deadline? Was there an extension?

sigh… chances are he/she is a junior.

Hope that “sigh” is not for me, little one. Because this “Junior” 's question includes “When I am filling out the application…”.

Okay, now I’m not a rocket surgeon or anything, but to me, “I am current student in kingsborough community college…” implies that he will be applying as a transfer. Meaning he hasn’t missed the deadline, and is not a junior in high school.

Stay classy, CC.

Oh how things pass right over our heads
Though, to be honest, I’d have missed that part too.

JM…“rocket SURGEON” - that’s cute. Yeah…I had no clue that a transfer had a different deadline. Good call.
