I have been looking at the residence halls and Santa Catalina looks like a number one choice. But I still want to know what the other dorms are like. Would someone run a pro and con for each resident hall?

Read this article! It gives a compare/contrast of all the dorms in UCSB.

I say living on campus, the ones that aren’t ft, are more convenient altho u might just get put in ft lol its just lots of my ft friends well i dont ever see them… it always depends on the hall u get lol but ft will def give u a different experience then the other res halls. and oh the ones on campus they seem to do a lot more events, so u have more access to more things, i heard the ft RAs are never to be seen.

About FT: its NOT a 20 minute bike ride to main campus, its more like 8 minutes or so.

Five minutes if you’re a fast biker on a roadbike, four if you’re a fast biker on a roadbike and your adrenaline is pumping because bio midterm is in like five minutes. . .

well i’ve pretty much narrowed my preferences:

ft
anacapa
santa cruz
santa rosa

the only thing i dont like about ft is that its off campus. i don’t think i would bring my bike but i heard buses make trips every half an hour.

for me i’m initially shy but once i get to know people and feel comfortable i can be outgoing. im looking to have fun and be social. i just want to know where i would have the best experience and where i would fit in the best

Just wondering, but if you decided to walk to campus from FT how long would it take? i walk to school everyday and is usually takes me like 20mins but idk how long of a distance that is thanks

four if you’re a fast biker on a roadbike and your adrenaline is pumping because bio midterm is in like five minutes. . .

lol. But you can get back that 5 mins when everyone is trying to turn in their test and ppl got in line at the end of the class ;)

Walking to main campus from FT would take about 20 minutes, no biggie. . .

Very true. :p

you a freshman in UCSB by any chance blastie?

im thinking about ft but what are the chances of having a bad roomate cuz im trying to carefully choose the preferences for roomates, but i dont want one who is uptight. i really wanna be good friends with my roomate
