Hello everyone. I am kinda new to this college confidential stuff, but recently i have been told that this was THE BEST SITE for college help. So recently i have been accepted into Ohio State’s engineering program, and i was wanting a few questions answered.

How exactly is the engineering program. How much will i need to study? How engaging is the program? How are the teachers. etc…

Where exactly should i live on campus. I was wanting a residence hall that isn’t as noisy and is a close walk to class.

How is the campus as a whole? What do you think about Ohio State in general?

From your post, it doesn’t seem like you’ve ever visited campus. If so, plan a visit, take a tour of campus, and meet with an advisor in the engineering department.

I can’t speak from personal experience because my son is the one going to OSU but so far he likes the engineering program. The first year was a bit of a rehash of sciences he’d already taken in high school with some programming and extra math thrown in. He studied moderately hard but had enough time for a girlfriend and intramural sports and such. He lived on North campus and his only complaint was the cramped quarters. However, it was quiet and close to class.
