Help please! I put transfer instead of high school...

So in the application process, I put "yes" at "have you ever enrolled in a college or university since high school graduation" because I thought it was asking if I was enrolled in any college course at all (including summer school). However, now I realize that they think I'm a transfer student!! I tried to contact them a few minutes ago, but they are off in thanksgiving break.

But I want to try to fix this during the thanksgiving break. Have any of you guys experienced this type of problem before? Is there a simple solution (like one of their admins just fix the page for me if I tell them all the details) or will I have to create an entirely new application and submit that one? If the latter, they will have a duplicate entry of my name and other information, so how will I avoic any confusion?

Help please! I am panicking since I want to complete my application by December 1st.

If it makes you feel better, write a short clear letter of clarification explaining your error, with your ID #, name, birthdate and school at the top.
Then both email and fax it. Fax it to (213) 821 0200 (Office of Admission). They will put it into your file.
I don't think this is even necessary. Admissions knows that mistakes are often made, it's normal, so don't worry about it too much. Even if you did nothing about it, they would either realize the mistake from your HS transcript, recs, scores etc (which will all be dated) or they would contact you if they needed clarification.

Haha... yes, that does make me feel better. I thought I would be the only one wiht that, or something, and it would screw up the entire process for me... =P.

I'll definitely send them an email explaining this, but do you think they will accept the clarification letter via mail?

Fax would be better. I heard most Adcoms don't read email.

I'd call them, to make sure things get settled, especially if you're applying for scholarships and such that they begin considering first.

I wouldn't worry about it over thanksgiving. Even next monday is before the first deadline and I'm sure they're not going to consider any applications between now and then.

Ah... thank you. As soon as the Thanksgiving weekend is over, I will first call them to notify this mistake, and then email, mail, or fax a letter depending on what they advise me to do (maybe all 3 at once? xD).

Now my only worry is that this whole episode may deter my chances of getting in slightly since it makes me look like someone that cannot follow directions, LOL. If I was an adcom in a competitive school, I sure wouldnt want that type of person in =P.
