Does it matter where I go to college for my undergrad degree if I want to go to grad school? My plan is to go to a less expensive state school for undergrad and then go to a more prestigious school for grad. Is this a good plan?
Generally, yes.
What major/field of study? As a general rule, while you might have more opportunities at more prestigious schools, you can do just fine at a less expensive state school if you get good grades/research/coop/internships.
@turkle321 For undergrad, I’d like to do criminology and chemistry and for grad school I would like to do forensic science.
