<p>I often hear that post-grad is far more important than under-grad. My plan was to do a prestigious school for post-grad after doing state school for under-grad. </p>

<p>It depends on the field and what how good the state school is. If it’s law or medicine, get an amazing undergrad GPA and high test scores and you’ll have a good shot at a prestigious school. If you want to seek a PhD or many other graduate degrees and you’re attending the University of Nowhere at Middle, you have effectively no chance at a top school.</p>
