<p>It depends on the field and what how good the state school is. If it’s law or medicine, get an amazing undergrad GPA and high test scores and you’ll have a good shot at a prestigious school. If you want to seek a PhD or many other graduate degrees and you’re attending the University of Nowhere at Middle, you have effectively no chance at a top school.</p>
