HELP- Proper method of declining admission

I have been accepted for the fall 2006 semester but would like to decline the offer (going to U Texas Austin)

I found out about their admission decision online, and they did not send me an official admissions package.

The only thing they sent me was an offer to join their honors program. The reply form was only specific for the honors program and not for the university as a whole.

As they did not send me a proper reply slip, do I send an email to the admissions office or write them a letter or what?

Thanks.

To decline WPI and NEU I sent them both an e-mail. WPI was very quick and curteous in responding to my e-mail and wished me good luck next year. NEU on the other hand never responded to my e-mail and has continued to send me letters and call my house and whatnot. I would first try e-mailing BU and if they don't respond in three days or so call them.

isnt there a link taht says "Declining Enrollment" as part of the menu for the applicant link?

There was a paper in my daughter's admission packet that had a checkoff section for paying the tuition deposit. The second checkoff sentence was to decline acceptance of admission.
